Sports Shorts Colts Neck’s Ryan Aldridge is playing soccer for the Gettysburg College men’s team. Aldridge is a junior and plays defense. The Bullets play in the Centennial Conference, where they last won the championship in 2001, Aldridge’s freshman season. Aldridge is a graduate of Colts Neck High School, where in his senior year he helped the Cougars win the NJSIAA Group I state championship. A Monmouth County-based 13U advanced travel baseball team is looking for two dedicated players (pitchers preferred) to compete immediately in fall ball and October tournaments, as well as winter instruction and spring league tournaments. The Kean University Coach’s Basketball Chalk Talk will be held Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Kean’s D’Angola Gymnasium.
