Annual fall crafters’ market at Allaire Village

Allaire Village is hosting its annual fall crafters’ market as a fund-raiser Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of Historic Allaire Village in Allaire State Park, Route 524, Wall Township. Admission to the crafters’ market is $2 per adult. (Children under 12, accompanied by an adult, are admitted free).

Exhibits by more than 125 area craftspeople and artisans will include demonstrations and feature everything from museum-quality pieces to "country crafts," handicrafts and home-made "bric-a-brac." Food and beverage service will be available. The rain date is Oct. 4.

This event is a fund-raiser benefiting the historic and educational programs presented at Historic Allaire Village by the nonprofit organization, Allaire Village Inc.

Patrons to the crafters’ market may wish to visit, as well, the restored 1830s iron-manufacturing community now known as Historic Allaire Village. Authentically clad volunteer museum interpreters, artisans and craft demonstrators including carpenters and blacksmiths, present the story of the historic buildings and of the people who lived and worked there 170 years ago.

The general store/museum shop and bakery will be open for shopping and refreshments.
