St. Gabriel’s church sets summer carnival

St. Gabriel’s church, Marlboro, will hold its sixth annual carnival to benefit its building fund.

Construction on a new building for the children’s religious educa­tion program will begin in August.

The carnival will be held July 17-20, Thursday-Saturday, 6-11 p.m., and Sunday, 4-9 p.m. Thursday will feature one price for unlimited rides.

There will be rides, games, prizes, food and local bands. The Passaic County Sheriff’s Department Band will perform on Thursday; 94.3FM, The Point, will DJ on Friday; The Cryers will perform Saturday, and there will be local talent on Sunday.

St. Gabriel’s is located on routes 79 and 520.
