Mumolie
ENGLISHTOWN — James Mumolie has been unanimously re-elected to serve as president of the Manalapan-English-town Regional School District Board of Education for the coming year. Anthony Manisero has been unanimously elected to be the board’s new vice president. Mumolie and Manisero were elected to their positions at the board’s annual reorganization meeting. At the same time, three incumbents were sworn back in to office to continue their service on the board after winning their positions in the April 15 school election. Taking their seats were Lori Semel, representing Englishtown, and Mumolie and Michael Corvino, representing Manalapan. Each will serve a three-year term on the nine-member panel which has eight residents of Manalapan and one resident of Englishtown. The remaining members of the board are Lucille Benedetti, Michele Stipel-man, Donna Formoso, Dotty Porcaro and Martin Spindel. The seats held by Benedetti, Manisero and Stipelman will be up in April 2004. In other business at the reorganization, the board approved its calendar for meetings, which are generally scheduled for every Tuesday throughout the year at 7:30 p.m., except for four Monday night meetings. The Monday meetings will be Sept. 15, Oct. 20, Nov. 10 and Dec. 22. The Tuesday meetings will be May 6, 13, 20 and 27; June 3, 10, 17 and 24; July 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29; Aug. 5, 12, 19 and 26; Sept. 2, 9, 23 and 30; Oct. 7, 14 and 28; Nov. 4, 18 and 25; Dec. 2, 9 and 16; Jan. 6, 13, 20 and 27, 2004; Feb. 3, 10, 17 and 24; March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30; and April 13. Meetings are held at the board’s offices on Main Street. The board also approved several appointments: board attorney, John Dawes; board secretary, Joseph F. Passiment, Jr.; treasurer of school moneys, Collette Flatt; school physician, Dr. Jose Lopez; affirmative action officer and gender equity officer, Randall Kanter; right-to-know contact person - Vincent Pietrucha; and public agency compliance officer and affirmative action officer for contracts - Veronica Wolf. |
