Freehold Pop Warner’s Pee Wee cheerleaders have secured a trip to the Pop Warner National Cheerleading Competition on Dec. 13 at Walt Disney World, Orlando, Fla., by placing second at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Competition held in the Sovereign Arena, Trenton. The cheerleaders, who won the New Jersey State Competition earlier, finished second in a field that included the best teams from New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York.

The Pee Wee cheerleaders are: Taylour Anthony, Angela Barranco, Jennifer Barranco, Ashley Biddle, Abigail Burt, Margaretann Danza, Theresa Danza, Elysa Desa, Marisa Desa, Brianna Donnelly, Courtney Fatka, Victoria Hernandez, Brittany Howes, Brittany Lundquist, Brooke Lundquist, Kim Maugeri, Meghan Melone, Sonya Moursy, Shonna Patterson and Rita Rubio.

The Manalapan Firecrackers, a girls’ U10 Monmouth-Ocean Soccer Association Premier Division team, is seeking experienced, dedicated players for the spring season. For tryout dates, times and location or additional information on the team, call coach Denise at (732) 409-3468.
