NJPAC seeks musicians for summer concerts

"Absolut Sounds of the City," New Jersey Performing Arts Center’s free outdoor summer music series, is seeking musicians to perform in its 2003 series of concerts. The concerts are held Thursdays, June through August, in Theater Square, NJPAC’s public plaza in downtown Newark. Three groups are featured per evening, each performing one 45-60-minute set. An honorarium is given to each group selected. Artists are also given the opportunity to present and sell their CDs and tapes, and promote other upcoming area performances. Musicians are required to submit an entry form along with a CD or cassette demo and basic biographical information no later than Jan. 15.

For more information or a submission form, call Elisabeth Ssenjovu at (973) 353-0057, e-mail essenjovu@yahoo.com, or download submission forms directly from www.njpac.org.
