Holiday events scheduled FREEHOLD — The Freehold Center Partnership will host several events to mark the upcoming holidays. The annual Comcast holiday concert will be presented Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 81 W. Main St. The free concert of holiday favorites will feature the Arcadian Chorale and the Brass Ensemble band. Tickets are now available for Freehold’s 10th annual holiday house tour, scheduled for Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tour will feature 10 homes and buildings in Freehold, many of them historic and architectural gems. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 on the day of tour. Advance tickets for the tour may be purchased at the Freehold Antique Gallery, 21 W. Main St.; Especially For You Florist, 37-39 W. Main St.; Busy BBB’s Florist, 46 W. Main St.; and the Freehold Center Partnership office, 17 Broad St. Tickets are also available by phone from Allen Consulting at (732) 946-2711. Tickets on the day of the tour ($15) will be available at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Main and Throckmorton streets. A guided lantern walk through the borough will be hosted by Freehold Center Partnership on Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. The free event will begin with caroling at the Park Avenue School, followed by a candlelight walk through the streets. The walk will conclude at the Hall of Records plaza with more caroling and refreshments supplied by The Court Jester and Wemrock Farms. The rain date is Dec. 21. The holiday events conclude with a Kwanzaa celebration Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. at the Court Street School. The festivities will feature an African-American traditional celebration, music, entertainment, food, and arts and crafts. |
