Fund-raiser planned to
aid Weinstein family

Tickets are still available for the COTA Dinner Dance to be held July 12 as a fund-raiser for two local children’s medical-related expenses.

Profiled in previous News Transcript issues, Marc and Ross Weinstein were born with a rare genetic ailment known as HLH, which requires bone marrow transplants to treat in many cases. Ross, 2, lost his struggle against the disease in late May, but the family continues to seek help for Marc, 4.

The event will be held at the Battle-ground Country Club, Manalapan, from 7:30-11:30 p.m. An auction will be held with signed sports memorabilia from the Mets, Phillies and Rangers. Grand prizes include a diamond cocktail ring, a computer, Yankees tickets and more. For information about the event or for tickets, contact the Marlboro Office of Public Information at (732) 536-0200, Ext. 202.
