disabled preschoolers

The Freehold Township School system is conducting a community-wide effort to find and help 3- and 4-year-old preschool children in need of special education programs.

To qualify for the Preschool Disabled Program, a child must be 3-5 years of age (not eligible for kindergarten in September of 2002) or be turning 3 during the 2002-2003 academic year, and must have a suspected or diagnosed disability in one of the following areas: communication, motor skills, cognitive, social/emotional, or vision/hearing.

Evaluations to determine eligibility for programs are conducted by the Freehold Township school system at no cost to parents. For further details, call (732) 431-9355.
