Two towns should start process of leaving regional school district
It is time for all citizens of the Freehold Regional High School District to step back from the emotional redistricting issues at hand and make a factual assessment of the current situation.

Children should be able to go to high school with their friends
I am sick of week after week hearing from Freehold residents about how unfair people of Manalapan are regarding redistricting. My children are still very young, and I am completely against redistricting.

Support board candidates who support you
With the April 16 school board elections upon us, it is imperative that we, as concerned parents, know who our candidates are. We need to research what each candidate’s platform is, what they stand for, and how they might vote on individual issues.

Town should not let developers dictate municipal zoning
The editorial of April 3 in the News Transcript concerning the proposed rezoning of Marlboro Airport was a welcome and much-needed opinion on the overdevelopment in Marlboro. Candidate is well suited to serve on Board of Education
Although no longer a member of the Marlboro Board of Education I remain committed to quality education. At a recent meeting, I watched the administration, board and the public diligently working to provide the highest quality of instruction in the most cost-effective manner.

Governments need vision
when making decisions

Vision means zoning into 6-acre parcels. In Manalapan, the governing body moved ahead with its 4-acre rezoning proposal and in Upper Freehold Township a resident is calling for a referendum to allow residents to decide on 2-acre or 4-acre zoning.

Defeating budget will hurt FRHSD students and staff
We, representatives on the board of directors of Citizens for Regional Equality (CORE), with members from towns throughout the Freehold Regional High School District, read with great dismay the statements of David Sorin of Marlboro and his Commit-tee for Community Education ("Manal-apan, Marlbo...

Timing is right for Manalapan, Marlboro to leave FRHSD
I write this as a resident of Howell who eagerly sends her children to the nearest high school to our home, Freehold Township High School. I write this as an informed taxpayer who embraces the regional philosophy in every way.
