Freehold Kruisers are getting ready for another big year

Freehold Kruise Nite is approaching. The first Kruise Nite will be May 30, filled with fabulous classic cars from the 20th century.

How did Kruise Nite start? It started back on Sept. 27, 1990. Kruise Nite was established by the Freehold Kruisers Classic Car Club back in 1989.

Just what have we, the members of the Freehold Kruisers Classic Car Club, been doing all these years that we’ve been around?

In the past, we have raised money to help support a local Olympic candidate. We have raised money for multiple sclerosis and "Jerry’s Kids," as well as other benefit shows.

This past September at Kruise Nite we raised money for the New York Police and Firefighters Widows and Children’s Fund. Yes, we did support the Sept. 11 tragedy.

Since the beginning of the Freehold Kruisers Classic Car Club at Kruise Nite, our 50/50 drawings have bought food for the needy children and families through the Open Door food bank.

And each year, the club sponsors at least four families at Christmas time so the children can open a Christmas present.

The Freehold Kruisers Classic Car Club stands proud today. We believe in helping others in need.
