"There are so many wonderful awards to be proud of this year — including the award for Public Service, perhaps the most important award in this contest — that I’m almost speechless with awe over the accomplishments of this wonderful group of professional journalists," he said. "Over the last few years, we’ve brought home more than 100 awards from our very competitive statewide organization, and this year’s tally shows that Greater Media Newspapers is still leading the way when it comes to community journalism in the state of New Jersey." Bean also called attention to the company’s sweep of all three places in three categories: Coverage of Govern-ment and Graphics in the editorial division and Portrait in the photography division. Bean had special praise for Karen L. Kesten, who coordinated the company’s contest entry process. The awards will be presented at a formal dinner and ceremony in April. |
