Good work of rec. commission will fall by the wayside
     On Feb. 27 the Manalapan Township Committee will vote to dissolve its own recreation commission, replacing it with a properly subservient "advisory" committee. This new advisory committee will have no authority to make any decisions regarding recreation in Manalapan.

Elimination of rec. commission called ill-advised move
     I am responding to the article in the Jan. 30 News Transcript, "Rec. Commis-sion Will Give Way to Advisory Board." It is unfortunate that the Manal-apan Township Committee is abolishing the recreation commission and replacing it with an advisory board.
