ANNA IRONS CONK, 87, of Freehold Township died Sept. 16 at The Manor Care Center, Freehold Township. Born in Lakewood, she was a 71-year resident of the Siloam section of Freehold Township. She was a sales clerk for J.J. Newberry’s, Freehold, for 27 years, retiring in 1976. She also owned and operated Conk’s Vegetable Farm, Freehold Township, for many years. She was a member of the Siloam United Methodist Church, Freehold Township; and a charter member of the Freehold Township Independent Fire Co. No. 1 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a former Monmouth County Committeewoman and was a Freehold Township District No. 3 Election Board worker for 40 years. She was a former member of the Freehold Township Welfare Board; and was an attendee at the Freehold Township Historical Society formation meeting in 1967. Mrs. Conk was predeceased by her husband, Earl, who died in 1989; and two brothers, John Irons, in 1998 and Herman Irons in 1985. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Joan, Abram and Ada, and Edwin and Joyce, all of Freehold Township; a daughter, Earlene Gordon of Freehold Township; a sister and brother-in-law, Leona and Carl Haviland of Wall; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Jerry Pepin, followed by interment at Harmony Cemetery, Jackson. Memorial donations may be sent to the Siloam United Methodist Church, 67 Siloam Road, Freehold 07728.

GEORGE F. RANDOLPH, 76, of Freehold died Sept. 17 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a purchaser for Marlboro State Hospital, Marlboro, for more than 30 years. Mr. Randolph was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Freehold. He was a past Grand Chaplain of Masons of the State of New Jersey; a member of the Crescent Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S.; and the Valley of Trenton, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite. He was a member of Olive Branch Lodge No. 16, Free and Accepted Masons, Freehold, where he was treasurer and blood bank chairman; and was past chairman of 16th Masonic District Blood Bank. He was a member of the Past Masters’ and Wardens’ Association, 16th Masonic District; and past president of the Past Masters’ and Wardens’ Association, 16th and 17th Districts. He was a member of the Freehold Square Club, where he was past president, treasurer and past secretary; and a former member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon and the Masonic Kilties of New Jersey. Mr. Randolph is survived by his wife, Nancy (Betty) Read Randolph; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Harry and Shirley Read of Freehold Township, and James Dillon of Freehold; eight nieces and nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. Interment was at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. Memorial donations may be made to the Olive Branch Lodge No. 16, Free and Accepted Masons, 3 Dutch Lane Road, Freehold 07728.

MARY KORMOS WILLIAMS, 84, of Marlboro died Sept. 19 at home. Born in Cleveland, she had lived in Czechoslovakia as an infant and moved to New York City when she was 18 years old. She had been a resident of Marlboro for the past 50 years. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanford F., who died in 1992. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, John of Marlboro, and Joseph and Barbara of Monroe; and three daughters and a son-in-law, Mary and Michael Farley of Monroe, Anna Williams of Freehold and Susan Williams of Marlboro. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Church followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan.

JOHANNA W. "SIS" COYNE, 98, of Freehold died Sept. 20 at Jersey Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Eatontown. She was born in Manalapan and was a lifelong resident of the Freehold area. Mrs. Coyne was the chief operator for the Monmouth County Courthouse, Freehold, before her retirement in 1972. She was hired as the first switchboard operator for the County of Monmouth in 1951. She attended Freehold High School and the St. Francis School of Nursing, Trenton. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, and was a member of the church’s Senior Citizens Club. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry S., who died in 1969; and a son, Henry J., in 1999. She is survived by a son, Howard E. of Freehold Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Jack Corcoran of Freehold Township; a daughter-in-law, Anne Tabacsko Coyne of Freehold; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.

ROBERT D. ADAMS, 49, of Holmdel died Sept. 23 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Middletown prior to moving to Holmdel five years ago. He was a civil engineer for Hillcrest Paving, Maplewood, the past four years. He was a member, Deacon, and Confirmation class teacher at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Middletown. He was predeceased by his father, Robert H. Adams; and his brother, Richard J. Adams in 1990. He is survived by his wife of four years, Susan VanZee Adams of Holmdel; his son and daughter, Robert M. and Heather A. Adams, both of Holmdel; two sisters, Janet Shipton and Linda Coleman, both of Farmingdale; and his mother, Elizabeth Adams of Freehold. Visitation will be Sept. 26 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A memorial service will be Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Eastern Division, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury 07702.

ELSIE BINGHAM, 100, of Bayville died Sept. 6 at Crystal Lake Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Bayville. Born in England, Mrs. Bingham came to the United States in 1920 and lived in Freehold before moving to Bayville in 1978. She was a former employee of the A&M Karagheusian Rug Mill, Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband, Percy, who died in 1974. She is survived by a brother, Stanley Spicer of California; a sister-in-law, Helen Spicer of North Carolina; a niece, Mary Lempka of Howell; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. The Rev. Ronald E. Vande Bunte officiated at the funeral service, which was followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.

JOHN CHARLES KNEDLHANS, 52, of Freehold Township died Sept. 8 from injuries received while riding his bicycle in Bethany Beach, Del. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he had lived in Queens, N.Y., before moving to Freehold Township 13 years ago. He was chief business development officer with Temco Service Industries Inc., New York City, since March of this year. Before joining Temco, he had been employed in the facilities management industry for 21 years. He was a graduate of City University of New York, Queens College, Queens. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, and St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Bethany Beach. He is survived by his wife, Michaela Gerdelan Knedlhans; two daughters, Kristin and Janine, both at home; his mother, Rose of Whiting; three aunts; one uncle; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Gerdelan of Queens; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Svetla Lawless of Queens; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cyrila and Bart DiGiovanni of Hampton, Ga. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church.

MARGARET ANN ROCK CANNON, 94, of Freehold died Sept. 9 at Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. Born in Sayreville, she had lived in South River for 42 years and in Milltown for 15 years before moving to Freehold 15 years ago. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, Sayreville; a member of the Milltown Senior Citizens Club; and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo F., in 1971; a son, Matthew Cannon, in 1996; and a grandson, Matthew O’Donnell, in 1990. She is survived by three sons, Leo J. of Gainsville, Fla., Brian of South River and James of South Amboy; three daughters, Margaret Ann Hall of Millstone; Mary Jane Kohlhepp of Milltown and Barbara Ann O’Donnell of Freehold; a sister, Beatrice Hager of St. Augustine, Fla.; a brother, Joseph Rock of South River; 29 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. The funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Victories Church, followed by interment at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.

EDITH FOX, 83, of Freehold Township died Sept. 9 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Born in Elizabeth, she lived in Valley Stream, Long Island, N.Y., before moving to Freehold Township 12 years ago. Mrs. Fox was a typist for Aetna Life Insurance, Garden City, Long Island, until her retirement in 1974. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, David; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Dr. Howard Gershon of Queens, N.Y., and Carole and Les Parker of Plainsboro; a brother, Joseph of Queens; two sisters, Rose Flanagan of Queens and Esther Klug of Brooklyn; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
