WADE HAYNES GREEN, 67, formerly of Freehold, died Aug. 3 at Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Springs, Md. He was employed with the Veterans Administration and retired in 1991. Mr. Green was a graduate of Freehold High School and served in the U.S. Army. Following his Army service, he earned a bachelor of architecture degree from Howard University, Washington, D.C. As an emeritus member of the American Institute of Architecture, he was licensed to practice architecture in the states of New York, New Jersey and Maryland, and in the District of Columbia. In 1986 he designed and supervised the construction of the Bethel A.M.E. Church, Waterworks Road, Freehold Township. He was a member of the Toastmasters and the Montgomery Gentleman’s Organization, and was recognized for his four years of service with the Prince George County Housing Authority. He was a member of the Clinton A.M.E. Zion Church, Rockville, Md., where he served on the board of trustees. Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Marilyn McCoy Green; a daughter, Tiffany, and a son, Brandon; three brothers, Robert of Asbury Park, Joseph of Freehold and William F. Haynes Jr. of Dover; four sisters, Ellen Goode of Tinton Falls, Ida Wright of Freehold, Mary Jackson of New Brunswick and Pequoia Evans of Clinton, Md.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral service was held at Clinton A.M.E. Zion Church, Rockville. LOUIS LuBERA, 89, of Manalapan died Aug. 3 at home. Born in Bayonne, he had lived in Jamesburg before moving to Manalapan 56 years ago. Mr. LuBera was a factory worker for Phelps Dodge Co., Jamesburg, for 20 yeas, retiring 30 years ago. He was also a farmer in Manalapan. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he served in the Signal Intelligence Co. He was a communicant and one of the parish founders of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown. He was a member of Molly Pitcher Post 434, American Legion, Englishtown; the Freehold Council Knights of Columbus No. 1672, Freehold; and the Benevolent and Protected Order of Elks Lodge No. 1454, Freehold. Mr. LuBera is survived by his wife, Maria Schmidt LuBera; two sons, Louis of Galeton, Pa., and Steve of Englishtown; two daughters, Terri Jeffries of Jackson and Valerie Walsh of Englishtown; five sisters, Victoria Vosk of Manalapan, Monica Owens of Ashland, N.H., Veronica Kowaleski and Ann LuBera, both of Jamesburg, and Betty Smith of Point Pleasant; and seven grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church. VINCENT LANTZ, 73, of Freehold Township died Aug. 8 at home. Born in Dayton, Ohio, he moved to Freehold Township in 1968. He was an automobile salesman for many years, retiring in 1989. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1672 and the Benevolent and Protected Order of Elks Lodge 1454, both Freehold. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan, who died in 1997; and a son, James, in 1973. He is survived by two daughters, JoAnn DiCarlo of Freehold Township and Janet Wilkins of Cape Coral, Fla.; two brothers, Jack of Dayton and Jerry of Celina, Ohio; two sisters, Margaret Leedy of Sarasota, Fla., and Josephine Hill of Leesburg, Fla.; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Chapel, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. KATHLEEN "COOKIE" ADAMS (nee Connor), 55, of Marlboro died Aug. 7 at home. Born in Newark, she had lived in Dover before moving to Marlboro 21 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by a son, Michael J., last year. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Thomas W. Jr.; two sons, Thomas W. III of Forked River and Paul B. of Marlboro; two daughters, Michelle of Freehold and Dana at home; a sister, Nancy O’Donnell of Harrison; and four grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, followed by interment at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, both Marlboro. SCHUH, 93, of Freehold Township died Aug. 7 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Elizabeth, she had lived there before moving to Freehold Township 45 years ago. Mrs. Schuh was a retired typist. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Mrs. Schuh was predeceased by her husband, Aloas, who died in 1965. She is survived by a nephew, Hans Mueller of Freehold Township; and a niece, Frances Kimbrough of Alabama. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Chapel followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. BEATRICE MARIE SCHOLZ, 84, of Freehold died July 30 at CentraState Medical Center. She was born in Hackensack and later resided in Cherry Hill and Mahwah, and then moved to Jamesburg where she resided for 10 years. She lived at Applewood Estates in Freehold for the past eight years. She was a business teacher at the Donovan Business College in Hackensack prior to becoming a full-time homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick J., in 1998. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert P. and Faye of Ocean Grove and William and Anne Marie of Brick; two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara and Ronald Heymann of Ameila Island, Fla., and Joan Devenney of Haddon Heights; a brother, William Lavach of Westwood; a sister, Irene Hamous of Unadilla, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. ROBERT E. BOYLE, 76, of West Long Branch, died July 21 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Lakewood, he resided in West Long Branch since 1955. He was a retired automobile sales representative with McDonagh Chrysler and Jeep, East Brunswick (formerly Marlboro Chrysler Plymouth, Marlboro), for 17 years. Prior to that, he was the owner of Boyle Rambler, Long Branch; and Coast Dodge, Asbury Park. He was a member, elder, and board of trustees member of the First Presbyterian Church, Long Branch. He was a member of the New Jersey Automobile Dealers Association. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis Ward Boyle of West Long Branch; his son, Kevin Boyle of Neptune; four daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Frank Melicharek of Bordentown, Janice and Roger Stewart of Ocean, Lois and John Strain of Eatontown, and Colleen and Gerald Crawford of Jackson; his brother, Leslie Boyle of Clarksburg, Millstone Township; his sister, Ruth Hallman of Lansing, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the First Presbyterian Church, Long Branch, followed by interment at Glenwood Cemetery, West Long Branch.
