Manalapan Battleground Symphony director Chiu-Tze Lin will hold open auditions for instrumentalists. String players are especially needed. Professional and serious amateurs are encouraged to join. The Pennington Players will hold auditions from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 29 and May 6 for its July production of Children of Eden, a musical based on the stories from Genesis, at the Kelsey Theater Complex, Mercer County Community College, Old Trenton Road, West Windsor. All roles are open for all races and ethnicities, ages 8-80. Rehearsals will begin May 15 at the Kelsey Theater; performances will be held at Washington Crossing State Park Open Air Theater, Titusville. Come prepared with a résumé, photo, song, one-minute monologue and be dressed to move. Video auditions will be accepted until May 1. Holmdel Theatre Company will hold auditions for Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night from 1-5 p.m. May 13-14 at the Duncan Smith Theater, Crawfords Corner Road, Holmdel, in front of Holmdel High School. Premier Theatre Company will hold auditions at 7 p.m. May 11-12 and at 11 a.m. May 13 for adults, male and female (age 21 and older), and teen-agers (15 and older) for the musicals Carousel, Damn Yankees, Mame, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Annie, A Grand Night for Singing, Tommy and My Fair Lady. Auditions will be held at the Henderson Theatre, 850 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft. Those auditioning should bring 16 bars, with sheet music, of a prepared song that best shows their range. An accompanist will be provided. A movement combination will be taught; be prepared to dance. All roles are open.

MBR Productions, Manalapan, has issued a casting notice for a new musical, Mamaleh, which has been performed in Miami for the past five months. Needed are five women: three age 40s to 50s, one late 20s to 30s, and one 60s to 70s. All must sing and dance. The production will be a tristate tour and will be a non-equity production with pay.
